Haloscanner: Smart microchip scanner with Angel software
When the Halo smart microchip scanner is used with Scanner Angel® software, the microchip numbers of missing animals are downloaded into the Halo from a number of databases. If the Halo then scans one of these missing animals, the Halo immediately alerts the user that the animal has been reported missing.

The Halo scanner can identify a lost or stolen (domestic) animal as soon as it is scanned. Each time the Halo is charged via a computer, it downloads a list of Scanner microchip numbers of lost or stolen pets from participating databases via the Halo application.
When a pet is scanned, the microchip number is compared to the tens of thousands of microchip numbers of lost or stolen pets downloaded to internal memory in an instant. If there is a match, the operator is alerted that the scanned pet is lost or stolen.

The Halo microchip scanner FDX-B and FDX-A is a practical handheld scanner for reading identification chips in animals.
The Halo Chip Reader reads all 10- and 15-digit chip numbers, making it ideal for use by veterinarians, shelters, breeders and pet passports. And, of course, to scan the chip of your own pet(s) with. If an animal has been reported missing, it is immediately indicated in the screen at the time you scan the animal. A practical and quick way to reunite the animal with his or her owner(s).

The Halo scanner also displays microchip temperature for compatible microchips with temperature detection. The temperature is displayed only when it is between 25°C and 43°C.

How long does the battery life of the Halo Chip Reader last?
The Halo Chip Reader's battery lasts a long time; with a full charge, you can perform 650-700 scans or keep the scanner in standby mode for up to 2 months.
How do I use the Halo Chip Reader to scan an animal?
To scan an animal, simply press the on/off symbol on the back of the scanner. Keep the scanning surface close to the animal. If a valid microchip is found, you will hear a double beep and the number will be shown on the display.
Can the Halo Scanner be cleaned with water?
No, the Halo Scanner should not be immersed in water or placed in sterilization equipment. For cleaning, you can use antibacterial wipes.
